THE SHOW MUST GO ON: The Refinery creative incubator goes online. The arts and creative industries, like many others, have been drastically affected by COVID-19. It’s an industry that has generated much fundraising and international awareness for appeals like the recent bush fire campaign, among others over the years, and is today providing the entertainment that many of us are relying on to get by for mindful escape in times such as these.
Now more than ever, programs like The Refinery creative incubator are invaluable.
Initiated by Sunshine Coast Council, SunCentral and Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance, The Refinery is both a testing ground and training platform that provides participants with the business skills needed to turn their ideas into reality.
With a virtual Bit-camp (in lieu of the planned Boot Camp), 30 ideas from #Firstnations start ups, creative service providers, new learning platforms and social entrepeneurs have been catalyst.
Originally scheduled to run in the MET, an activation space in hashtagMaroochydore‘s new city centre, The Refinery incubator will run online with a virtual public program to be announced soon.
