Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced earlier this week that from this weekend, cafés and restaurants can open for up to 10 dine-in customers at a time for food and beverages – no bars or gaming. In Outback Queensland, where there are no active cases or people in quarantine, cafés and restaurants will be able to open for up to 20 locals at a time. Venues can serve customers across multiple sittings over the day and evening, as long as these limits are met. Businesses must complete and display a COVID-safe checklist and keep a register of clients to assist with contact tracing.
