2024 Student Ambassador – Lee’s Top 3 Sunshine Coast Spots

Meet our Ambassador Lee from South Korea

Lee is currently studying cookery at TAFE Queensland’s Mooloolaba Campus on the Sunshine Coast. He has been living, working and studying on the Sunshine Coast for over eight months now.

What Lee loves most about the Sunshine Coast is that it’s not crowded, and there’s so much nature to enjoy.

I honestly can’t imagine a better place to live, and if I can, I’d love to stay here for the long term.”

“It’s one of the most beautiful places to live. Everyone here is super friendly, especially towards international students like me. The school staff are great, too!”

When Lee isn’t working or studying, his favourite pastime is to explore the natural beauty of the Sunshine Coast. Here are his top 3 places to visit.

1. MOOLOOLABA BEACH

Mooloolaba Beach is one of my favorite destinations. My first visit there was unforgettable—the weather was perfect, and the beach was buzzing with surfers. As part of the Student Ambassador program by Study Sunshine Coast, I had the opportunity to experience this stunning location in a unique way. We enjoyed beach volleyball lessons, surfing lessons, and a barbecue, all while connecting with students from diverse nationalities. It’s incredible to have such easy access to this beautiful beach every day.

“The beaches here are amazing, and they’re so easy to get to with fantastic facilities.”

2. COOLUM BEACH AND MOUNT COOLUM

Coolum Beach and Mount Coolum are among my favorite places to visit. Conveniently located near my school, TAFE, they offer a stunning escape. The picturesque walkway along Coolum Beach showcases crystal-clear waters and breathtaking views. Mount Coolum, close to the beach, is perfect for beginners; the hike takes less than an hour, with ample parking available. During my visit, I even encountered a charming wallaby. I look forward to returning soon.

3. NOOSA NATIONAL PARK

Noosa National Park is a premier tourist destination on the Sunshine Coast, renowned for its vast, lush landscapes and vibrant atmosphere. The park is bustling with surfers and offers a variety of dining options nearby. I visited Noosa National Park with my brother before he left Australia, and despite the rain, we had an incredible time. The long walkway along the beach is challenging but immensely rewarding, providing stunning views and easy beach access. This unforgettable experience truly highlighted Noosa’s unique charm
