The Study Sunshine Coast Project Global Citizen program kicked off on Wednesday with a three hour interactive workshop. Thirty five enthusiastic Sunshine Coast students were awarded fully subsidised scholarships to participate in the eight-week development program focused on advancing students’ cross-cultural skills to equip them with the tools they need to be employable in any global organisation around the world.
Study Sunshine Coast Strategic Projects Director Marina Murray said, “from our research we understood from students and our education partners the need to assist students develop and evolve their 21st century employability skills to work on the global stage. The Project Global Citizen course does this.
“Project Global Citizen Scholars undertake an 8-week blended learning program that radically improves their cultural competency skills for studying, living and working across cultures as a truly global citizen.
This is the second time Study Sunshine Coast has offered the program to students after being the first region in Queensland to offer the program last year.
